Brick House is dedicated to freedom – the joyful, unhindered freedom of movement, health and wellness. We stress balance in everything we do, helping free our clients from the constraints of excess weight, limited mobility and pain to find a renewed sense of strength, confidence and vitality.


We work one-on-one and in group settings on an individual plan that factors in your unique lifestyle, health and fitness goals. Our certified and experienced trainers build close relationships with clients to help them succeed in achieving holistic, long-term lifestyle changes, rather than short-lived diets or fitness fads. During each visit, you will receive a personalized session that changes and grows with your needs and goals.


At Brick House, we practice the “Three E’s” of Exercise:


  • Educate: We give our clients the tools, training and knowledge to improve their lives through individual exercise programs and sound, sustainable nutrition plans.


  • Empower: We practice a holistic approach to health, fitness and wellness that encompasses cardiovascular fitness, weight loss, muscular strength, endurance, flexibility, nutrition, stress and pain reduction, and lifestyle coaching. We reach beyond physical well-being to include mental, spiritual, emotional and social factors.


  • Encourage: We are experienced, passionate trainers who work to provide a welcoming and peaceful space that is encouraging and non-intimidating for a wide range of clients.

Brick House Co-Founder Kim Chalekian has dedicated the last 10 years to helping others live their best lives through fitness, health and wellness.


Kim suffered for years with severe migraine headaches and back pain. A visit to her doctor didn’t work, and prescription medication made things worse. Tired of feeling miserable, Kim consulted a professional fitness coach and started a routine designed around her individual needs. In addition to more intensive training, she added resistance workouts to create muscular balance.


She also made changes to her diet and nutrition, increasing protein and fiber to better control hormonal and blood sugar swings. Over several months, her headaches stopped. She felt the best she had in years.


Then life got hard. Kim lost her mother to breast cancer, and her husband lost his job in the midst of an economic downturn. After two stressful years, she faced a new set of health problems and adrenal fatigue.


Kim added yoga and meditation to her health and wellness routine, which helped her get back on track. Dedicated to helping others with their own life-changing journey, Kim opened Brick House Personal Training in Hawaii Kai in 2008.


She holds multiple coaching, lifestyle and nutritional certifications, and is passionate about working individually with each client to help them feel strong, capable, and confident.
